Hello I'm Kat; Chief CFI at Learn2 Fly CT, and COO at Alpha Aeronautics Academy.

I am ASEL CFII and have been for 6 years now so I can endorse initial flight instructor candidates, CFII candidates, as well as Private Pilot applicants, Instrument Rating candidates and Commercial Pilot applicants. 

Aviation is my second career, previously I was a research associate at Universities in the UK: The University of Manchester, and The University of Leeds. I have a PHD in Biomedical Materials, which is summarized here: https://pubmed.ncbi.nim.nih.gov/20467965/ TLDR: I created an elastomeric biodegradable scaffold for skeletal muscle regeneration. At The University of Leeds my research was focused more towards cancer research; prostate cancer in particular.
